This is the first time I have had Japanese food in the area. It was so good. Staff were amazing very nice and professional. I would really recommend the food here and also the ambience is very nice. Thank you very much and can't wait to return again

We live nearby, but hadn't eaten there for a really long time- until recently and it was truly excellent! We had the special of the day which was sashimi and chicken teriyaki. It came with miso soup, a large grated cabbage salad and rice (which was great with putting the chicken teriyaki on top of!) Cannot recommend it any higher and will be going here in the future instead of that other nearby Japanese place!

Fresh Sushi & Friendly Service in Novato We were in Novato and wanted to try a new place for sushi. I found Taki Japanese Restaurant on Yelp, so we decided to go! Taki is located in the Pacheco Plaza Shopping Center, tucked away in a corner along with a couple of other eateries and a coffee shop. Since we had our puppy with us, we opted to sit outside where there were plenty of shaded tables available. Our server, a very pleasant lady, seated us and gave us ample time to review the menu. To start, we ordered prawn and vegetable tempura along with miso soup, both of which were delicious. For our main course, we shared a combination dinner featuring sesame chicken and sushi. The combination dinner also came with miso soup, tsukemono, cabbage salad, and rice - everything was quite enjoyable, although the sesame chicken strips seemed to have more breading than chicken. Overall, the ingredients were fresh, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Despite sitting outside, we received plenty of attention even though we were seated at one of the farthest tables from the restaurant door.

Great sushi place in Novato with the best katsu in the city, in my opinion. Nice crispy exterior with juicy interior. Nice variety of rolls too with many of the classics. Staff is always friendly and attentive. It only depends on who's making the sushi. Sometimes you will find rolls made without love, lacking fish or other ingredients. Overall, a great place for a dinner and drinks including both hot and cold sake.

This is our favorite Sushi Restaurant in Marin County. The staff is friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to have a great experience! My personal favorites are the Spicy Tuna Roll and California Roll. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have only had a great dinner! We always wind up ordering extra to take home for a midnight snack. Taki has indoor seating, Sushi bar seating, and outdoor seating areas.

Taki is one of a very few Sushi/Japanese restaurants in the Novato area. I like going here because it is a little different than Tri but has similar great qualities at the same time. This place has a very nice ambiance with the front area housing a beautiful Koi pond that will keep you and your little ones (or old ones) entertained if you have to wait for a seat. This place can get a little busy during peak hours so just keep that in mind From a seating perspective, the tables that are partitioned off so that you can enjoy your dinner with your company. There is also a nice traditional seating area as well as a sushi bar. On nice afternoons I love sitting outside with my family so they have something for everyone. The real reason this place is great though is the food. They have a nice selection of rolls and other items that will have something for everyone. I particularly like their special rolls and had almost all of them. My children love the Udon so everytime we go we get at least 1 order of that. Whenever you're not feeling 100%, give that a shot. Guarantee you'll feel a lot better. Just get it door dashed or ask a significant other to pick it up haha. One special note that I would like to add is that they have an interesting beer that I never had or seen before. It's called Kawaba Sunrise Ale and it is Delicious!!! I would come back just for that!

This place has excellent Sushi! We are giving it five stars primarily because they have too much space available and aren't using it well to enhance the ambience ( chairs stacked off in a corner; What used to be a beautiful indoor Koi Pond now has only a few koi and very little vegetation or rocks; It has a "are you closing soon?" kind of feel to it when you walk in--not sure why. The service is very good and very polite. The sushi and seafood are excellent. Plenty of parking outside as it is in the cul-de-sac corner of a shopping center.
